Do you deliver?
At Littlewood Fencing we offer local delivery with our fleet of flatbed vans. For larger deliveries and deliveries further afield we use articulated trucks with hi-ab cranes, dependant on distance and availability.
We offer free local delivery on all orders over £200+VAT.
Do I have to be in to take delivery?
We are happy to leave the goods without you being present. However this is up to your discretion and once we have delivered the items we can no longer be held responsible.
Will your drivers carry the products from the drop site to the garden etc?
All deliveries are kerb side, although we are always happy to drop the products in the front garden, on the driveway etc. Our drivers cannot bring products through your premises, or round to the back of the property to deliver goods.
Where is your delivery area?
We are able to deliver west as far as Brighton, east as far as Folkstone and north as Far as Tunbridge Wells.
How do you deliver?
We use a fleet of flatbed vans for smaller local deliveries, most deliveries will be completed by these vehicles. For larger deliveries and drops to further locations, we use our fleet of HGVs most of which are equipped with Hi-Ab cranes to facilitate delivery of large or awkward loads.
Can I order online?
At the moment orders must be made either in store or over the phone.
However we will be offering online ordering on our website in the near future.
Are you open to the public as well as trade?
Our Battle shop is open to everyone, not just tradespeople. Feel free to call up or pop in anytime.
Can I order over the phone?
Yes. Call us on 01424 775333 and speak to one of our helpful staff. They will be able to guide you through the ordering process and then payment can be made via card over the phone.
Can I collect my goods?
Yes, we keep almost all of our products in stock at our yard in Battle. You are welcome to place an order and collect it from us.
Make sure you know the weight limits of your vehicle before loading as Littlewood Fencing cannot be held responsible for the weight of your vehicle.
Can I open an account?
If you are a self-employed tradesperson or run a fencing, decking or landscaping business you can apply to open a trade account with us. All accounts allow for a months credit.

Is your timber dip treated?
No. All of our timber is pressure tannelised either onsite at our yard or before we receive it.
What colours is your timber available in?
Our timber is stocked treated either green or brown. Green treated timber comes out as a light tan colour and brown is a dark brown colour. Brown products are slightly more expensive due to extra cost in treating.
Do you stock hardwoods such as oak?
We don’t keep oak or other hardwoods in stock at our yard, all stock timber is softwood. However if you need oak or another hard wood for a project or job then please let us know as we are able to source hardwood for custom orders.
How can I improve the life of my fence?
Posts that are in wet ground can be susceptible to weakening over time. To help protect against this you can purchase Postsaver sleeves that fit over the bottom of the post and can be shrunk to seal the post which can dramatically increase the life of the post. We also stock concrete repair spurs that stabilise posts that have become weak at the base.
I need a gate or panel made at a custom size, can you help?
At our Battle yard we have a team of experienced carpenters and gate-makers that are able to custom make our gates and panels at sizes that suit your project. Speak to a member of staff for more information on prices and availability. We are also able to machine and mortice posts at custom sizes and shapes.
What is the lead time on a custom gate/panel etc.?
Lead times on custom gates, panels, posts and other machining is dependent on sizing, availability of materials and also how busy we are in general. Usually you can expect to wait no more than a 3-5 days for a custom panel or gate and 1-2 days for post machining.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm.
Saturdays 8:00am to 12:00pm
Do you do installations?
We are not able to provide domestic installations here at Littlewood Fencing. However for commercial projects please call us on 01424 775333 and speak to a member of staff in our contracts department.
If you do require fencing, decking or landscaping installation at a local private property then we are able to recommend you a trusted local tradesperson who will be able to visit and give you a free quotation.
